10,000 Mile Challenge Recap
The 10,000 Mile Challenge wrapped up on Saturday, October 11, after one powerful week of movement, generosity, and impact!
Over the course of seven days, 326 participants walked, ran, and biked to help bring freedom and restoration to survivors. Together, we raised $21,685! That’s enough to cover more than one woman’s full year of care at House of Cherith, providing safe housing, trauma-informed support, and a path toward lasting healing. 💙
As a team, we logged an incredible 8,430 miles, just shy of our goal, but still enough to cross the U.S. coast to coast more than three times! Every step, stride, and pedal made a difference.
Our overall winner, Donald “OSHA” Sauter, went above and beyond with 442 miles and shared why that number mattered to him:
“The significance of 442 comes from John 4:42. Jesus had just been speaking to the Samaritan woman at the well and she went to tell everyone. Then in John 4:42 — ‘They said to the woman, We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.’
That’s my prayer for the women of HoC — that they wouldn’t just hear others’ stories of hope, healing, joy, and freedom... but they would experience it all for themselves.”
Thank you for walking, running, riding, and giving toward freedom. You helped change lives in just one week!
Keep the momentum going!
The 10,000 Mile Challenge may be over — but the fight for freedom continues.
