A Message From Our Executive Director

As I look back at 2025, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude and awe at what you helped make possible.

Because of you, 2025 was a year of courage rising, chains breaking, and survivors stepping boldly into their freedom with strength and dignity. This was a year where hope was not just spoken about, it was lived, breathed, and reclaimed.

Together, we walked alongside survivors as they took brave steps toward healing and independence. We witnessed women rediscover their voices, families experience reunification and healing in their own safe homes, and futures rewritten with possibility and hope instead of fear and doubt. These moments, quiet, powerful, and life-altering, are the direct result of your generosity and belief that freedom is worth fighting for.

Last year, you didn’t just give financially. You stood in the gap. You said yes to restoration. You chose light in places where darkness once tried to prevail.

And the impact? It ripples far beyond what we can measure.

As we enter 2026, our vision is even bigger. More survivors waiting for safe refuge. Deeper healing programs. Expanded opportunities for long-term stability. A future where freedom isn’t the exception, it’s the expectation.

Thank you for believing in this mission. Thank you for trusting us with your generosity. Thank you for refusing to look away from this injustice and for choosing to fight for freedom.

From all of us, and from every life touched, thank you. We cannot wait to step into 2026 with you, full of faith, fire, and expectation for even greater things ahead.

With deep gratitude and bold hope,

Dr. Kelsi Franco
Executive Director of House of Cherith

Holiday Fun

House of Cherith had a joyful Christmas season! Thanks to generous partners, donors, and volunteers, our residents were surrounded by love and celebration throughout the holidays. From festive events and special outings to thoughtfully chosen gifts, women and families experienced Christmas in a fresh, safe, and hope-filled way. These moments of joy and togetherness helped create new memories and reminded our residents that they are valued, supported, and never alone.

Celebrating our Graduates

In November, we celebrated a powerful milestone at House of Cherith: 17 incredible residents graduated from our program.

Each woman crossed the stage having secured employment, safe and affordable housing, a one-year sobriety milestone, and countless personal victories along the way.

We are so proud of the strength, resilience, and determination these women have shown. Their journeys are a powerful reminder of what healing, support, and hope can make possible.

One graduate shared, “My recovery truly began the moment I was accepted into the House of Cherith. They stood by us every step of the way, supporting us in our transition and providing everything we needed.”

Running for Freedom

This fall, we came together in powerful ways through two challenges that turned miles into hope for survivors.

10,000 Mile Challenge
In just one week, 326 participants walked, ran, and biked a combined 8,430 miles in support of survivors. Through their commitment and generosity, $21,685 was raised, enough to cover more than one woman’s full year of care at House of Cherith.

24-Hour Run Challenge
In partnership with MOST, 37 runners pushed their limits and completed an incredible 1,549.2 miles in just 24 hours, all to stand against sex trafficking.

Seventeen runners reached 50 miles, three pushed to 75 miles, and one completed an astounding 100 miles. Every step told a bigger story of resilience, freedom, and hope.

Colorado Fun

House of Cherith residents experienced a once-in-a-lifetime retreat in the mountains of Colorado at Wind River Ranch in October.

During their time away, residents enjoyed horseback riding, hiking, worship, and rest. The retreat created space for freedom, joy, and healing in new and powerful ways.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this trip possible through your generous bundle donations. Your support helped create meaningful moments and lasting memories House of Cherith residents.

Story of Hope

“Upon coming to House of Cherith, I was willing to do whatever I had to do to heal and reclaim my life. HOC has given me so many resources to have another chance at a successful life. I have been given the support to beat my legal case, gain certification for a career, and receive support in gaining stable housing. I’ve been able to address emotional pain and traumas that have kept me bound for years. I’ve been able to notice and face codependent behaviors and learn how to navigate codependency in my relationships.

HOC has been a place that has loved me to life and has stood by my side and been my biggest advocate, even when it wasn’t easy and when I felt unlovable. They’ve taught me my worth in Jesus, and they push me to live up to my potential and follow the will of God for my life.”
