God is blessing me, and I am excited about the future.”

What was life like before HOC?

I was enslaved by lust and sexual behaviors. I really wanted this guy to like me and be my boyfriend. I was striving for all the success I could find. I was stumbling along in life. I then found out that the boy never really liked me and it was all a lie.

I found myself homeless and spiraling. I was depressed and did not know where to go.

What are you learning at HOC?

The people at HOC are kind and compassionate to me. They tell me that God can remove the bitterness from my heart. They help me to remain receptive to God's love. They are helping me learn to worship and trust in God with all of my heart.

What are your hopes and dreams for the future?

HOC is helping me advance my future. I want to move to long-term housing to keep growing. HOC is helping me get my ID, and find work. My social worker is helping me so much. He is helping me with past police reports and getting the identification that I need.

After graduating from HOC, I want to volunteer and work. My goal is to find housing and be employed long-term. God is blessing me, and I am excited about the future.
