“Before coming to HOC, I was full of doubt and fear. I was living in a consistent state of uncertainty and regret. I was preoccupied with filling myself with substances to numb out what was then my reality. I had lost track of who I am, and who I wanted to be, and I lived in a constant state of guilt and shame because of it.

HOC has provided me with so many things. Of course, the basic necessities, but more importantly, HOC has given me an opportunity to look within myself to get to the root of my suffering. This program has enabled me to change my perspective on things. I have become more confident and aware of myself. This program has empowered me to set goals again. By taking the knowledge and information I have learned from the classes here, I am now taking steps towards a better and brighter future for myself. Coming to HOC has given me the space and opportunity to restore my relationship with God. I have a new understanding and desire to live a life that pleases Him. 

By this time next year, my goal is to have graduated from the Tech Transformation Academy and to have a job as a Cyber Security Defense Analyst. My desire is to hopefully make my way back to the Tampa Bay area where the industry is taking off. My goal is to set myself up to become financially free and self-sufficient.”
