Katrena’s Story of Hope

“For the past six years, I have been blessed with many accomplishments at House of Cherith! I spent 2.5 years as a resident. I have regained relationships with my children, I’ve learned how to cope with my past trauma, and HOC gave me a safe place to work on myself so I can be the warrior God created me to be.

The love that the staff poured into me is unexplainable … instead of judging me they took me in and gave me the love that I deserved. I felt the presence of God all over. I reached many goals that I had set for myself. I graduated on August 7th, 2020 with a full-time job and a home fully furnished with everything I needed to live comfortably in my OWN HOME!!!

Since graduating, I still have the support from my HOC family. They all come together to guide me, pray for me, and continue to fight for me. Staying connected is very important to me. I now work at House of Cherith as a housing assistant.

I can share my story and my strength with the residents which helps encourage them to keep fighting the fight. My heart is faithful to serving the ladies at HOC and giving back what I received as a resident. My family now has a healthy mother, sister, daughter, cousin, and friend. My family will forever be grateful for HOC and how my life was impacted!

Thank you to everyone who has walked with me through my journey and helped me to Reclaim, Renew, and Rekindle my life.”
