“I’ve learned that I’m loved, I’m enough, and I’m going to be okay.”
What was life like for you before House of Cherith?
Life for me before I came to HOC was awful. I was sad, depressed, in a toxic situation, being abused, felt like someone was always watching over me, hungry, scared, never sleeping, and in and out of jail. It was just a bad time for years before I came here.
What have you been learning while at House of Cherith
I’ve learned that I’m loved, I’m enough, and I’m going to be okay. The staff go above and beyond for us. Without even knowing us, they are so welcoming and loving. I’m stress free here, and I don’t have to worry about anything. I’ve learned to let go of my past and start a new positive journey.
What are your goals and hopes for the future?
My goals are to get my GED, enroll in college, get my birth certificate, ID, social security card, a CPN job or any good paying job, get a car, an apartment, finish my probation which ends this year and get custody of my kids, stay sober, graduate this program and last but not least, get closer to God!
