Hear from House of Cherith Supporters Jaynie and Alex Dominguez

Jaynie and Alex Dominguez

For the past decade, Jaynie and Alex Dominguez have been unwavering supporters of House of Cherith. Their dedication to our mission shines through their consistent volunteering, fervent prayers, and generous contributions.

Upon learning about House of Cherith's mission, Jaynie and Alex felt an immediate calling to serve at the forefront and follow wherever the Lord might lead them. For Jaynie, being on the "front row" signifies readiness to step onto the stage when called upon or to support others leading. Their service is marked by selflessness, driven by gratitude rather than a desire for recognition.

As a couple, their approach to serving differs. Jaynie actively engages in a weekly prayer group for House of Cherith residents, leading women in prayer and Bible study with personal, face-to-face interactions. Alex, on the other hand, supports from behind the scenes, recently offering their beach house for retreats and providing financial resources to support staff and volunteers. Their dedication lies in utilizing their unique God-given talents to serve.

Jaynie and Alex’s passion for House of Cherith overflows into their work, community, and friendships. They tell everyone they meet about House of Cherith and are true ambassadors of our organization. “I’m not a sales person. I just share my heart and passion. If someone asks me about what I love, I can guarantee that I share my passion and 100% of the people I share this with, want to get involved as well,” says Jaynie.

Jaynie describes her interactions with House of Cherith residents as a profound experience of God's love, witnessing the transformative impact it has on each individual. She perceives it as a reciprocal exchange of love, where the more she gives, the more she receives in return.

When asked what advice they would offer to those considering involvement with House of Cherith, Jaynie and Alex stress the importance of firsthand experience through volunteering or attending events. They've found that everyone they've invited to participate has remained engaged in some capacity, highlighting the compelling nature of House of Cherith’s mission.

A decade ago, Jaynie and Alex embraced the opportunity to join House of Cherith’s mission with a resounding "YES." Since then, they've remained steadfast in their support, enriching the lives of the women and families we serve. We express our profound gratitude for their enduring commitment and boundless love.
